In 1994, FPI imported the first paper food pails into Australia from the US. While marketing these food pails across Australia and asking prominent chefs and food professionals to appraise them and their application, we confirmed two things. First, there was definitely a market for these packages in Australia and second and more importantly, that we could design and manufacture a far superior food pail to those being manufactured overseas.

We designed a food pail, process and machine to manufacture our unique style of food pails in Brisbane where we currently operate out of our Eagle Farm factory.

The first FPI food pail machine arrived in 1996 and we have been manufacturing the world's highest quality food pails since then. Even though the market has been flooded by less functional products from the US and China, the market recognises FPI as the market leader with a superior, higher quality product, greater flexibility and the ability to "think outside the box".

Today FPI manufactures custom sized and custom printed food pails and meal boxes made from differing paperboard materials and coatings allowing for pail products to vastly extend their usage and application as a retail, end user, and premium quality package.

In 2007, The Pyx Group located in Eagle Farm purchased FPI and combined this business into their existing printing and packaging business, now able to supply more products into the retail food market.
